Ein überraschend großartiges, nostalgisches und günstiges Rasierwasser aus Tschechien. Es erfrischt, pflegt und lässt einen duften, als käme man in den 1930ern eben frisch rasiert vom Herrenbarbier in Prag, Wien oder Budapest: nach Cognac, Menthol, Wacholder und Lorbeer. Mit 71% Alkohol, belebendem Menthol und hautberuhigendem Allantoin. Verpackt in einem Glasflakon.

Das "Alpa Windsor" ist ein faszinierend Rasierwasser, hergestellt vom tschechischen Traditionsunternehmen Alpa a.s. Die in Mähren (dem Osten Tschechiens) gelegene Firma Alpa wurde mit dem "Alpa Franzbranntwein" weltweit bekannt, welches hier seit 1913 produziert wird. In den 1930/40er Jahren wurde Alpa Franzbranntwein in die ganze Welt exportiert.

Das Alpa Windsor begeistert dabei durch seine belassene Ursprünglichkeit. Es ist weder ein wässriges Billigrasierwasser, noch versucht es aus seiner Tradition und nachhaltigen Qualität übertriebene Preise zu verlangen. Eher das Gegenteil ist der Fall. Für diese Duftklasse ist es sehr günstig.

 

Der Duft

Das Alpa Windsor duftet wirklich schön, nostalgisch und nachhaltig.Man könnte es ruhig als die austro-ungarische Antwort auf die amerikanischen Bay Rum After Shaves gelten lassen. Das Windsor duftet holzig-mentholig, seifig-frisch, nach Branntwein und Lorbeer. Der Duft ist dabei voll, sehr harmonisch, warm, charaktervoll und dennoch unaufdringlich souverän. So muss es beim Herrenbarbier im Prag, Wien und Budapest der 1930er Jahre geduftet haben.

 

Die Wirkung

Das enthaltene Menthol wirkt belebend, und das Allantoin sorgt für eine angenehme, hautberuhigende Wirkung. Dank dem hohen Alkoholanteil von 71% welcher schnell verpufft, hinterlässt das Rasierwasser auf der Haut das Gefühl einer Art Emulsion, als hätte sich ein dünner pflegender Film über die Hautoberfläche gelegt.

Das robust wirkende Glasflakon unterstützt die Ursprünglichkeit dieses Rasierwassers. Das Etikett ist schlicht, wirkt etwas veraltet, aber auch durch seine klare Einfachheit sympathisch und unaufdringlich.
